CDC works with Indonesia to help build surveillance and laboratory capacity to prevent, detect, and respond to infectious disease threats. CDC helped develop, train and equip a worldclass laboratory at the Eijkman Institute of Molecular Biology in Jakarta for detection of emerging viruses and vectorborne pathogens.
