Feb 28, 2014 · Since aggregate (sand as fine and gravel as coarse) makes up about 60–80% of the volume of concrete, the successful use of such agricultural solid wastes, as whole or partial replacement of conventional aggregates, contributes to energy saving, conservation of natural resources, and a reduction in the cost of construction materials.
