Manganese ore: Manganese ore samples were collected from Joda area of Odisha in India. These are ferruginous ores with high iron and low Mn/Fe ratio. These ores are inherently friable due to deposit formation conditions. It was observed that pyrolusite and psilomelane are the predominant manganese mineral along with hematite, quartz, and kaolinite.
